As of Oct. 12th, the Sangha and lay Buddhists from the Earth Mind Farm of Longquan Monastery went to Houzhang village of Haidian District to reclaim the land of blessings.

Dec. 9^th, 2017【Earth Mind Farm】 As of Oct. 12^th, the Sangha and lay Buddhists from the Earth Mind Farm of Longquan Monastery went to Houzhang village of Haidian District to reclaim the land of blessings. This land, an offering to the monastery by a follower, covers more than 30 mu, with 11 greenhouses and over 10 mu of wasted area. Guided by the Chief of the Monastic kitchen, Ven. Xianyu, the team repaired the greenhouses, installed wiring and piping, cleaned up the garbage, and planted winter vegetables. They also moved some plants and flowers from the monastery to the greenhouse for winter. The vegetables grown there will provide the whole monastery for the winter.
