Oct. 2nd, 2017【Visits & Communications】Ven. Xianyu, Monastic Chef of Beijing Longquan Monastery, recently joined two other masters in a visit to a milk vineyard in Xuanhua District of Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province. The owner of the vineyard is a lay Buddhist of Longquan Monastery, who has made more than 150 kilograms of milk grapes of offerings to the Three Jewels. The traditional vineyards of Xuanhua have been recognized as the “Globally Important Agricultural Heritage” by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The visit has helped accumulate experiences for growing green organic vegetables at the Earth Heart Farm of Beijing Longquan Monastery in the future.
