A new postulant candidates class of Longquan Monastery started on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, with encouraging remarks from Monastic Manager Ven. Chanxing and Class Instructor Ven. Xianxin at the commencement ceremony. Ven. Chanxing encouraged the students to respect teachers and fellow practitioners, withdraw from the secular world, afflictions and the three realms, join the harmonious team of the Sangha, and make continuous efforts in learning, practising and Buddhist undertakings. The candidates expressed their aspiration to let go of their own self, and take a step-by-step approach in Buddhist study and practice.
