Ven. Master Xuecheng, President of the Buddhist Association of China, hosted the “Prayer for World Peace Dharma Assembly”, one of a series of activities of anniversary celebration of Longquan Great Compassion Monastery in the Netherlands yesterday. The Master awarded the letters of appointment for advisors to Henk Kool, former Vice Mayor of the Hague and President of the Dutch-China Friendship Association, and André Kalden, former Chairman of the Buddhist Union of the Netherlands, and gave presents to them. He also unveiled the tablet of honor for the 56 overseas Chinese in the Netherlands who have donated to the construction of the Monastery together with other guests, and transmitted the Three Refuges to the Buddhist followers.
