During the National Day holiday, a Sutra chanting of “The Pure Land Alta” and “The Ksitigarbha Alta” together with Buddha’s name chanting was organized at the site of the old Main Hall and the Ksitigarbha Hall at Longquan Monastery. This open-air activity, with the purpose of creating good karma among the public, was supported by the Sangha and the caring volunteers, and attracted many Buddhist believers and ordinary tourists, who were not only given an opportunity to observe basic Buddhist rituals such as Sutra chanting, Buddha’s name chanting, and walking recitation, but a real experience of the Bliss Praying in person.
