On the morning of September 5, 2016, 78 members of the First National Old Books of Buddhism Protection and Management Seminar, led by Zhang Zhiqing, Vice Curator of the National Library of China, visited Longquan Monastery. They were warmly received by Ven. Master Xuecheng. The two sides had an in-depth discussion on protection and circulation of old books and documents among various institutions and some other issues. Both sides agreed that old books should be widely disseminated in order to best protect them and bring their cultural functions into full play.
