A group of four led by Mr. Piao Songlie, Director of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau of Jilin Province, visited the Buddhist Association of China (BAC) yesterday afternoon. Accompanied by Mr. Lu Xun and Ven. Hongdu, Deputy Secretaries-General of the BAC, President Ven. Master Xuecheng warmly received the group. Director Piao introduced to Ven. Master Xuecheng the general status of the development and recent major work of Buddhism in Jilin province, and discussed with him such issues as implementing and carrying out to the guiding principles formulated at the National Conference of Religious Affairs and the sinicization of Buddhism.
