With devoted and pious hearts, members of the delegation offered incenses and worshiped Buddha’s sarira relics in the underground palace. Ven. Master Xuecheng, Abbot of Famen Monastery, gave a small statue of Shakyamuni Buddha as a gift to Aung San Suu Kyi with his best auspicious wishes. Aung San Suu Kyi, who is a devoted Buddhist, pointed out that she is willing to promote friendly communications between the Buddhist communities in China and Myanmar. Buddhism will always act as a firm bond for the friendly relationship between China and Myanmar.
