According to China Ethnic News, the release ceremony of the Medical Collection in the Chinese Tripitaka, which contains more than 5 million Chinese characters, and the kickoff ceremony for compilation of the Complete Treasure of Chinese Buddhist Medicine were held in Beijing recently.

According to  China Ethnic News, the release ceremony of the  Medical Collection in the Chinese Tripitaka, which contains more than 5 million Chinese characters, and the kickoff ceremony for compilation of the Complete Treasure of Chinese Buddhist Medicine were held in Beijing recently. For both works Ven. Master Xuecheng, President of the Buddhist Association of China, is the editorial director and Professor Li Liangsong, Deputy Dean of Chinese Traditional Culture School of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, is the chief editor. Ven. Master Xuecheng expressed in the preface that it is foreseeable that contemporary medicine and traditional medicine will form a good cycle of mutual coordination and complementation.
