An activity to commemorate the 135th Birth of Great Master Hong Yi, sponsored by Wenzhou Buddhist Association, was held in Wenzhou Taiping Monastery on November 2, 2015. Ven. Master Xuecheng attended and addressed on the event.

An activity to commemorate the 135th Birth of Great Master Hong Yi, sponsored by Wenzhou Buddhist Association, was held in Wenzhou Taiping Monastery on November 2, 2015. The activity recollected Master Hong Yi's contribution and influence on contemporary Buddhism by his renaissance of the Nanshan Vinaya, and encouraged people to learn from the Master’s spirit of loving the nation and Buddhism. Ven. Master Xuecheng attended and addressed on the event, and donated collation and annotation series books of the eight great Vinayapitakas of the Nanshan School to the organizer of the activity. These new books were produced on the basis of fully understanding Master Hongyi’s collation and annotation to the Nanshan Vinaya.
